The workshop “STEAM and Modern Teaching Methods”

On November 19th, 2022, the first workshop for teachers entitled “STEAM and Modern Teaching Methods” was held.

The workshop focused on contemporary pedagogical approaches with an emphasis on the application of project-based, team-based, research-based, and problem-based teaching and peer learning in the context of the STEAM concept. Teachers will integrate educational and learning expectations from cross-disciplinary themes, subject outcomes, and modern teaching methods into scaled and holistic educational and learning goals.

The workshop was led by Doc. Dr. Goran Hajdin from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, Partner 1.

On October 21st, 2022, Doc. Dr. Goran Hajdin from Partner 1 led the second part of the workshop for teachers entitled “STEAM and Modern Teaching Methods.”

The workshop was attended by 27 teachers of the 2nd Primary School in Varaždin who, upon completion of the lectures, received Certificates of Completed Education. These certificates will serve them in further professional development.

This two-day workshop is just one of a series of 6 specialized workshops that will be held at the 2nd Primary School in Varaždin as part of the Full STEAM Ahead project. The workshops aim to empower teaching staff to incorporate various STEAM skills, use ICT and modern teaching methods into their teaching. The workshops will be prepared and conducted by experts from partner institutions, and we expect most of the teaching staff of the 2nd Primary School in Varaždin to participate in them.
