The workshop “Gamification” took place on February 9th and 10th, 2023, at the premises of the II Elementary School Vara\u017edin. The workshop was led by lecturers Snje\u017eana \u0160labek and Lydia Zaric from the partner organization 2 \u2013 NT Gruppen AS.<\/p>\n

During the first day, through a “knowledge cafe” type of workshop, participants were introduced to the basic principles and phases of gamification. On the second day, participants familiarized themselves with the concept of the “hero’s journey” and basic motivational drivers in gamification. By gradually getting to know the fundamental concepts of gamification and methods for using gamification mechanics, dynamics, and aesthetics, participants were equipped to design gamified content.<\/p>\n

This two-day workshop is the fifth in a series of six specialized workshops held at the II Elementary School Vara\u017edin as part of the Full STEAM Ahead project. The aim of the workshops is to enable teaching staff to incorporate various STEAM skills, the use of ICT, and modern teaching methods into their classes. The workshops are prepared and conducted by experts in specific areas from partner institutions, and the majority of the teaching staff of the II Elementary School Vara\u017edin participated in them.<\/p>\n
