Winter School – Data Security and Protection
During the winter holidays, the “Data Security and Protection Winter School” was held at II. Primary School Varaždin from February 20th to 23rd, 2024, led by computer science teacher Darko Krznar. The participants of the winter school were students from the fifth to the eighth grade.
“Data Security and Protection” has been included in the school curriculum as an extracurricular activity created as part of the “Full STEAM Ahead!” project.
Internet security refers to the user’s ability to navigate the web cautiously and consciously to protect themselves and their property.
Through this winter school, students gained valuable knowledge about computer security. They learned about various types of malicious software that can disrupt computer operations and steal data, how to recognize them, what actions to take to prevent viruses or remove them, which programs exist for data protection on computers, and other useful information.
