Workshop: Digital Transformation of Teaching.
On April 19, 2023, the last workshop for the teachers of the II Elementary School Varaždin was held as part of the “Full STEAM Ahead” project. The workshop was led by the dean of the faculty, Prof. Dr. Sc. Nina Begičević Ređep, in the newly renovated Villa Oršić, a new facility of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (partner 1).
During the workshop, Prof. Dr. Sc. Nina Begičević Ređep thoroughly discussed key aspects of the school’s digital transformation, including the introduction of new technologies, the development of digital competencies for students and teachers, the digital maturity of the school, and the importance of critical thinking in a digital environment. In addition, workshop participants had the opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities posed by digital transformation and strategies for its successful implementation in practice.
The cycle of workshops for teachers lasted from October 2022 to April 2023. Seven educational workshops were conducted, with the majority of the teaching staff of II Elementary School Varaždin participating.
The goal of these workshops was to enable teachers to incorporate various STEAM skills, the use of information and communication technology (ICT), and modern teaching methods into their classes.
The workshop topics included STEAM and modern teaching methods, the use of e-learning systems, artificial intelligence in teaching, instructional design, gamification, and the digital transformation of teaching.
