Cognitive Agent in Biology Class
The seventh workshop with gamified cognitive agents took place at II. Primary School Varaždin as part of the ‘Full STEAM Ahead’ project. The workshop was held on January 16, 2024, and was led by Dr. Bogdan Okreša Đurić and Tomislav Peharda, M.Sc., representatives of Partner 1 (Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence).
Students from the 7th-grade class, along with their biology teacher Ernest Habek, participated in the workshop and tried out the created agent. Members of the Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence at the partner institution, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Markus Schatten, implemented the agent Axl and adapted it for use.
The cognitive agent Axl discusses the biology of blood. The students from class 7-b created the agent, and teacher Ernest Hebek prepared questions about blood. The software has been released as open-source and is available for anyone who wants to try it at the following link: https://dragon.foi.hr/axl/
